Mehlville Fire Protection District (MFPD) provides Fire, EMS, and Mobile Integrated Health to the communities we serve. We cover 52 square miles and respond to over 17,000 calls per year. MFPD has an excellent reputation for providing outstanding community services and quality care. This is a unique opportunity for a Community Paramedic to join our nationally recognized Mobile Integrated Health team.
MFPD is seeking a compassionate Community Paramedic to deliver quality services to our Mobile Integrated Health and Hospital at Home program participants. The Community Paramedic will be responsible for providing in-home patient care such as primary care, basic and advanced life support, and critical care by conducting thorough medical evaluations, stabilizing patients, and managing treatments. The Community Paramedic will also coordinate patient care with community-based services and deliver outreach education to improve the overall health and wellness of program participants.
Minimum Job Requirements:
· High school graduate or GED
· Missouri Paramedic license (EMT-P)
· Community Paramedic certification (CP-C)
· Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C) or Flight Paramedic (FP-C) certification within 12 months of hire
· Valid state driver's license and clean driving record
· Pass a substance abuse and background check to provide clearance to work with vulnerable patients
· Pass a medical exam and physical agility test
Preference will be given to candidates with:
· Previous Community Paramedic experience
· ACLS, PALS, PHTLS or ITLS, and AMLS certifications
Compensation: $34.64 - $43.04 per hour ($72,058 - $89,524 annualized) depending on experience, plus an additional $7,000 with CCP-C or FP-C ($79,058 - $96,524 annualized)
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday (shift days will vary) with minimal overtime, if any.
