Community Resource Coordinator (Full-time) The Sewickley Valley YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic, responsible professional to lead resource and referral sharing for older adults in collaboration with social service organizations, churches and other local agencies that serve the elderly. The incumbent is a team player who demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills, and leads with compassion and empathy. The candidate must model and teach the Y's values with a high level of commitment to improving lives in the Quaker Valley, Cornell, Moon Area and Ambridge Area school districts, and work as part of a team that supports older adults. Salary: $20-$22 per hour - Based on experience Monday through Friday (Day light hours between 9 a.m.-7 p.m.) Leader on Duty Shift - One evening (5-9:30 p.m.) every three weeks GENERAL FUNCTION: The Faith in Action Community Resource Coordinator will assist the director in all facets of the Sewickley Valley YMCA Faith in Action program, including events supporting the department. The incumbent will lead resource and referral sharing for older adults in collaboration with social service organizations, churches and other local agencies that serve the elderly. The incumbent is a team player who demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills, leads with compassion and empathy, and builds collaborative relationships. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: To monitor the incoming calls and emails related to the Senior Central hotline and website and to return calls/emails based on messages left by consumers; manage subsequent steps such as follow-up and referral coordination. Utilize/maintain client management software (Benjamin Rose Software). Utilize/maintain web-based platforms (Senior Central and Find Help) related to online referral and communication. To assist in the development and execution of activities and social events for older adults; whether in the YMCA or local communities/senior high rise. To assist with various activities and membership events of the Sewickley Valley YMCA. To attend community meetings or events and promote Senior Central and volunteer opportunities for Faith in Action and the Sewickley Valley YMCA. To attend all required Y staff meetings and training. To serve as a Building Supervisor in an evening routine staff rotation; and be a friendly representative of the YMCA, offering a positive member experience. Additional duties may be assigned by your supervisor as they deem necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: Possess an associate degree in a field related to Human Services, a minimum of two years of experience in working with seniors, or experience managing referrals and resources for program participants. Demonstrate excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, decision making, problem solving, leadership and supervisory skills. Possess a valid PA Drivers License and automobile. Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and pleasantly by telephone and in person. Read, interpret, and effectively communicate and document information and instructions from various media. Effectively write emails, reports, business correspondence and other communications. Work efficiently in Microsoft Office applications, be proficient with using the internet and have strong data management skills. Ability to solve problems and take a leadership role, calmly and efficiently handling a variety of personalities, situations, problems, issues and /or concerns from care receivers, volunteers, or members. Be able to work both independently and as part of the YMCA staff team. Be able to manage multiple priorities in an organized and professional manner.
