(You can learn more about us here.)About this Position The Community MT Division helps Montana communities offer well planned, safe, efficient, and quality public and community facilities including bridges; water and sewer services; schools; affordable and attractive housing and neighborhoods; excellent health care facilities and social services; preserved historic sites and museums, a vibrant downtown and economy; and job opportunities. The Community MT Division has the resources to help each community attain these goals, including financial, planning and technical assistance. Our diverse team of community development professionals support the thriving and unique legacy in communities across Montana.The Community Resource Development Manager is responsible for the development and management of various planning grant programs; as well as establishing and developing new community grant programs provided to local governments, mainly for planning and technical assistance activities. Duties include developing program goals and policies, program outreach and advocacy, developing and improving partnerships, managing program budgets. This position will lead the administration of all grants awarded by the grant programs housed under the program. The position reports to the Division Administrator and is responsible for management of Five (5) FTE professional staff and contracted services as required.This position is open until filled; with a first review date of 1.21.25.What are we looking for?Education and Experience: •Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Planning, Economics or other related field•3+ years of job-related experience•1+ years of supervisor experience preferred•Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.Competencies: Knowledge of:•Contract administration and law; supervisory practices; grant administration; policy and administrative rule development •Principles and practices of public administration, including budgeting, purchasing and the maintenance of public records; •Program development and planning, administration•Concepts, theories, principles, practices and techniques of community development and planning, and program and personnel management.Ability to:•Research, data gather and analysis techniques •Solve problems using a balance of technical competence, creativity, and pragmatism•Communicate funding opportunities and processes to a wide variety of audiences•Manage projects to completion•Engage with community stakeholders across the stateHow to applyApply online by submitting your resume.
