Collaborates with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff to identify issues and works to create solutions. Assists students with accessing and navigating university resources within housing and police departments. Performs foot and vehicle patrols of the Residence halls and surrounding areas to monitor behavior, secure buildings and property, report disturbances, maintain order during events and report University policy violations. Monitor the physical safety of residence halls by locking and unlocking doors, patrolling or monitoring using surveillance systems, and reporting suspicious behavior. Handle minor calls for assistance as assigned or until commissioned personnel are available. Provide security as necessary for university related special events.Availability for work must be conducive to our responsibility for 24-hour coverage. This includes but is not limited to the ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, mandatory overtime, and special events. Shifts are primarily overnight, but certain events will call for some daytime hours.
