Essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Monitors, assists, and verifies program participants' completion of assigned community service hours.
- Enters approved community service hours into the ORION database accurately and in a timely manner if directed by Program Manager/Program Administrator.
- Establishes and monitors all community service projects. Notifies supervisor in advance of schedule of events.Maintains records of community service contacts.
- Supervises clients performing community service ensuring job completion and client safety.
- Fosters and maintains productive communication with clients under their supervision.
- Maintains the cleanliness of Agency facilities by scheduling and supervising clients for in-house facility upkeep and actively participates in cleaning projects with clients.
- Assists with special cleaning projects as needed in designated facility i.e., audit preparation, etc.
- Monitors Agency vehicle use and maintenance needs and accurately reports any needs to Facility Manager.
- Accurately records mileage, gas usage, and other pertinent information of transporting clients and staff in an accurate and timely manner.
- Effectively communicates transport problems to supervisor in an accurate and timely manner.
- Compiles and maintains accurate monthly statistics on community service activities and hours awarded and submits them to supervisor by established deadline in an accurate and timely manner.
- Transports clients as directed and follows Agency standards, rules, regulations, and all laws for safe transport.
- Fosters and maintains positive and professional communication with outside community service agencies and their representatives.
- Assures Agency vehicle is cleaned on a weekly basis (as needed per position).
- Sets up new community service projects with outside agencies.Acts as an effective liaison between Oriana House and outside agencies.

- Facilitates and maintains productive communication while maintaining a professional, prosocial relationship with clients and employees.
- Maintains appropriate boundaries with clients and employees as outlined in Agency Code of Ethics and other policies.
- Expresses empathy regarding client situations as appropriate.
- Recognizes antisocial thinking and behaviors.Addresses them immediately, positively, and in a non-threatening manner.
- Acknowledges clients' prosocial behaviors and generates a reward report if warranted.
- De-escalates potentially volatile situations between clients when necessary utilizing cognitive-based intervention strategies.
- Effectively communicates pertinent information at shift change to co-workers and/or program management staff (e.g., client hospitalizations, suicide watches, federal incident reports, AWOL /escaped clients, unknown whereabouts).
- Maintains telephone coverage during hours on duty.Answers calls courteously and professionally, directs calls appropriately, and takes accurate messages as necessary.
- Interacts professionally with employees, visitors, guests, law enforcement, court, and safety personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:High School diploma or equivalency required.Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and a driving record that does not preclude the employee from being covered by Agency liability insurance.Accuracy and organizational skills required.Must have the ability to effectively work with Agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population.Schedule: Monday- Friday 9am-5pmEssential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:

- Logs, sorts, and files applications for current and future employment needs.
- Pre-screens candidates via scheduled phone interviews using standard department questions.
- Schedules and conducts first employment interviews weekly as required by current number of open billets to ensure a steady flow of candidates.
- Reviews social network sites (e.g., Facebook) for inappropriate media/posts/pictures of prospective employees.
- Conducts preliminary on-line background checks.
- Accurately conducts and thoroughly documents references.
- Schedules and conductshiring paperwork.
