This is a uniformed non-sworn position performing a variety of para-professional law enforcement support duties in either law enforcement stations or court services. Depending on which option you are appointed to, your duties may include:Law Enforcement - receive and respond to citizen inquiries and requests for law enforcement service at a public counter, over the phone, and in the field; operate County vehicles and equipment and coordinates vehicle towing; assist with DUI checkpoints.Detentions/Court Services - serve civil process, including subpoenas, summons and notices in the field throughout the County, process citizens through weapons screening stations at courthouses entries and ensure and maintain order and quiet in and around the courtrooms.Click here for a complete job description, including minimum qualifications, essential functions and working conditions, etc.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma OR G.E.D., AND
  • Six (6) months of experience in a field or office environment which involves public contact, information exchange, and clerical work
  • OR Six (6) months as a law enforcement Explorer AND
  • Be at least 18 years of age at time of appointment.
