We have immediate openings for Community Support Specialists in the Wilmington Region (Duplin, Onslow, Carteret, Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, and Columbus counties).
Pay Rate: This position starts at $18.03/ HR along with a $500-$1K Sign on Bonus.

Depending upon the individual's needs and desires, Community Support Specialists (Direct Support Professionals), with the help of technology, provide the needed level of support and care, allowing the person to be more self-sufficient. Acting as the first line of support to the amazing people and families served by The Charles Lea Center, you will work and communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging tone, to support others to take steps on their journey to independence.

Your Role: Our Community Support Specialist works under the general supervision of the Program Manager. Your skill set provides for the health, safety, accountability, supervision and training for people supported in the community. In this role you will assist people supported in all aspects of Community living, enabling people supported to be as independent as possible.
