Our diverse team of over 700 employees is Passionate About People as we support our community, specifically those whose lives have been affected by a mental illness or substance use.WHAT WE DOThe Women & Children program is a voluntary, collaborative program that strives to empower women to build resources and personal skills to break the barriers that come with addiction as individuals, family members, and members of their local community. This program offers residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, day care services for children under 12, individual and group therapy, case management, peer support services, psychiatry and medicated assisted treatment.At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:Maintain and interact with a caseload of clients with diverse characteristics either in-person or over the phone.Facilitate each client's achievement of long range outcomes of symptom management, employment and independent living based upon the needs of the client.Engage difficult to serve clients by investigating all potential resources in order to gain access and make connections.Help remove barriers for clients, which may include helping clients participate in community or social service programs, referring clients to educational or working programs and/or assisting with transportation barriers as identified in their treatment plan.Collect and maintain information about clients and document interactions within ReDiscover's designated electronic medical record.Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care.We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as a Community Support Specialist. However, here are some things that you will need before starting with ReDiscover:4 year degree in a social science field or 4 years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree.A valid automobile driver's license, appropriate automobile insurance and a safe, reliable, registered automobile available for use during work.Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders.Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as G-Suite.
