Key Responsibilities:
  • Under Director or Vice President's guidance, establish and maintain effective working relationships with other agencies in the communities served.
  • Complete monthly record review for the program, ensuring State Regulatory/CARF standards are maintained as well as monitoring compliance with program and agency Quality Improvement Indicators.
  • Follow up with any deficiencies during weekly staffing meetings and assist associates with corrective action.
  • Provide oversight for service provision, completing spot checks on accuracy of staff documentation to ensure that services rendered are appropriate and clinically justified based on client/patient need.
  • Monitor progress notes for State Regulatory/CARF/the system's regulations, ensuring they reference treatment plans and are entered within the required time frame.
  • Ensure Community Support associates are equipped to deliver services in community-based settings and monitor onsite/offsite service delivery.
  • Develop annual training schedules for Community Support Specialists; coordinate with Clinical Supervisor for required In-Services and monitor staff completion of annual trainings.
  • Complete and review written reports to referral sources as needed in a timely manner.
  • Promote integration of clinical, community support, and physical healthcare services, working as a team leader.
  • Ensure community support associates represent the agency professionally and maintain contact with clients/family members/referral sources.
  • Develop program schedules to respect client rights and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate services and collaborate with outside agencies to provide comprehensive services to clients and their families, educating outside entities about provided resources.
  • Monitor program budget, reviewing service delivery and management of allocated funds; develop quarterly fiscal projections in collaboration with site management and Program Director.
  • Ensure uninterrupted coverage by scheduling associates and managing substitutes during absences; monitor crisis calls occurring outside of program hours.
  • Complete associate evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Provide clinical direction and supervision, perform corrective coaching, and maintain supervision records.
  • Ensure the implementation of all policies and procedures guiding service provision and recommend changes to the assigned Program Director.
  • Develop and implement a Quality Management (QM) measurement system to promote continuous improvement.
  • Participate in staffing of assessments to ensure evaluations are completed within established time frames.
  • Ensure all assigned Community Support Specialists complete treatment plans and quartiles within the designated time frames.
  • Demonstrate interest in long and short-term goals and objectives of the company.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Team/Executive Team members.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
  • Substance Use Disorder Programs:
    • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field, with at least one (1) year of professional experience in the treatment of substance use disorders; OR
    • Graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least two (2) years of professional experience in substance use disorder treatment; AND
    • Demonstrated competencies in the areas of supervision and substance use disorder treatment.
  • Mental Health Programs:
    • A qualified mental health professional meeting one of the following criteria:
      • Physician licensed under Missouri state law, trained in mental health.
      • Psychiatrist or Psychologist with appropriate licensure.
      • Professional counselor licensed under Missouri state law.
      • Clinical social worker with a Master's degree in social work.
      • Psychiatric nurse with relevant experience/education.
  • Community Support Specialist Supervisors in mental health programming must possess at least three years of case management experience in the mental health field.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods, principles, and techniques in mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
