The Community Vocational Services Manager will be responsible for helping people with disabilities to find and maintain competitive employment. This role involves connecting individuals seeking employment with local employers and providing assistance through assessment, job readiness training, job matching, and job coaching to help them achieve independence. The goal is to increase the number of individuals with disabilities placed in integrated employment within Orange, Alamance, Randolph, and surrounding counties while decreasing the number of individuals in segregated employment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate for this position will be a dynamic and innovative leader with a high level of initiative and strong organizational skills. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a closely related field, or alternatively, a substantial professional background with over 10 years of relevant experience. A comprehensive understanding of the NC Vocational Rehabilitation structure and billing processes is essential. The role demands a candidate with exceptional patience, compassion, and the ability to communicate effectively, always ensuring professional interactions. Preferred certifications include CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Cultural Diversity, and Crisis Intervention, although training can be provided. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and dependable transportation is necessary. Finally, candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESDesign tailored employment strategies to meet the specific needs of participants and businesses.Implement educational strategies to assist job seekers and their families to make informed decisions about employment services.Cultivate partnerships with local businesses and provide education on the integration of individuals with disabilities into the workforce.Oversee the provision of services, ensuring they adhere to professional standards and comply with relevant laws, regulations, guidelines, and contract requirements.Uphold professional service standards and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines. Stay informed on regulatory changes from oversight agencies.Cultivate and maintain partnerships with stakeholders such as State Departments, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, and advocacy groups.Maintain accurate data to aid in grant reporting and solicitation, track the strength of the department, and make systematic changes when necessary.Maintain participant records at all times to ensure compliance with organizational, state, and federal requirements.Ensure the accuracy and completion of Electronic Health Records, paper charts, and all information OE is responsible for providing to state and federal stakeholders through their operating systems.Manage operational budgets, oversee billing processes, and monitor financial activities such as profits and losses, accounts payable, and receivable.Lead the recruitment, training, and management of staff, including disciplinary processes when necessary.Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and promote skill development.Report regularly to senior management on program developments, challenges, and progress.Other duties as assigned.Physical RequirementsAble to sit and stand for long periods.Able to work in varying climate conditions, indoors, outdoors, in cold, or heat.Able to drive to various work sites as needed.#J-18808-Ljbffr
