This position will be responsible for promoting and selling the John Deere brand throughout the territory with the primary responsibility being increasing market share and market visibility for the equipment we sell. The Sales Specialist will receive competitive compensation, company vehicle, and benefits/insurance when eligible. Any qualified candidate will have a passion for selling equipment, the know how to demonstrate compact construction equipment, the ability to listen for and cultivate opportunities within the market, possess excellent communication and follow-through skills, shows the ability to close deals and increase revenue for the dealership. Sales Knowledge: Develop a sales territory of prospects across multiple markets (Commercial Contractors, Ag, Residential, and Municipal). Ensures sales metrics and goals are met Ensures that a consistent sales process is followed Works well with other Sales Team Members Possess the ability to calculate margins and profits. Understand and utilize financing options to close deals Manage existing customer relationships, needs, and opportunities. Call on prospects using face to face, phone, and social media communication skills. Closing the deal skills, sensing when a deal is there to be won and seizing it. The desire to make money for themselves and the dealership. System Knowledge: Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point Demonstrates proficiency in running reports and queries in CRM systems Efficient/responsible use of email and time planning/management system Ability to use Deere sales computer applications and tools Effective use of industry websites for gathering competitive and pricing information. Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groupsQualificationsRequirements: 5+ years sales experience, preferably in construction equipment. Willing to obtain a Class A CDL Driver's License. Associate or bachelor's degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
