We are the difference.Hospice Nurse Role OverviewA compassionate caregiver utilizes the nursing process to provide palliative care to terminally ill patients and supportive care to their families in a Hospice House environment.We require our nurses to adhere to all compliance and policy requirements of the organization, including licensure renewal, training, and infection control.The nurse assesses patient and family needs, offers input into the interdisciplinary Plan of Care, and documents assessments in the medical record.They develop individualized nursing plans of care, monitor and update plans, and educate patients and families on their needs.The nurse performs nursing interventions, documents care, and utilizes standing orders and medical authorization guidelines.They recognize family decision-making roles and patient rights, and oversee CNA performance of the Plan of Care.The nurse evaluates intervention effectiveness, provides bereavement support, and facilitates continuity of care with other team members and agencies.They communicate with staff, physicians, and other stakeholders to ensure quality care and coordinate services.The nurse documents clinical findings, interventions, and referrals, and completes discharge paperwork.Salary Information$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experienceRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Nursing or Associate degree in Nursing with required certificationsNo experience required; two years of acute care nursing experience preferredBenefits and PerksWe offer competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for career growth and developmentWork EnvironmentVariable shifts available at 1067 Hospice - Upstate location
