About the Role:
The Compensation Analyst will research job requirements and evaluate positions to ensure that Insight Global is competitive in total rewards offerings. Supports the Compensation Manager on compensation matters including pay philosophy, pay guidelines, position evaluation, program design and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do:
• Prepares and maintains job descriptions; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by employees.
• Interviews managers and employees to gather organizational information and document jobs including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job.
• Assess jobs and job duties to determine classification as exempt or non-exempt
• Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine a competitive compensation range.
• Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.
• Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
• Collaborates with communications team to design communication strategies to inform and educate employees and leaders on compensation programs.
• Performs ongoing compensation analysis and recommendations for promotions, demotions, transfers, ad-hoc adjustments, merit, and bonuses.
• Prepares and presents summary of compensation analysis
• Administers variable compensation programs, validating bonus plans, compliance with program criteria and accurate payments.
• Drives accountability and compliance by ensuring that compensation plans and programs are managed within budget and accordance with pay policies.
• Supports performance and merit program, assists leaders with processes.
• Approves requests to payroll for retro payments or one-time payment options
• Actively seeks ways to improve processes
• Performs data entry and data validation as needed
• Initiates new job creation, ensuring that all job attributes are accurately defined and input into all applicable systems
What You'll Need To Succeed:
• Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative research methods and make recommendations
• Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage time and organize workload
• Proficient with Excel and advanced formulas i.e. pivot tables, v-lookup, if functions.
• Understands basic compensation principals and terminology
• Able to articulate pay philosophy and influence behaviors through communication and discussion with stakeholders
• Extensive understanding of HR systems and related systems.
• Understand downstream impact of data transactions
• Understand basic payroll functions
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience. HR Certification; a plus
• 2-4 years of experience in human resources, preferably Compensation, HR Systems, or Benefits
