Compensation Analyst Job Type : Assignment City : State : WA Job Description:Location: Greater Seattle, WAType of assignment: Contract/ Temp to HireBase pay: $30-40/hrJob Description: We are seeking a Compensation Analyst for an established company. This is the perfect opportunity for someone with compensation analysis, development, and administration experience, looking to further their career.Primary responsibilities:
  • Carries out analytical assignments involving the analysis, development, and administration of compensation programs.
  • Analyze employee salaries and make recommendations regarding new hire rates and promotional increases based on internal equity, market pay, collective bargaining agreements and internal policies.
  • Analyze, evaluate and classify new job roles for the organization, ensuring compliance with internal policy and collective bargaining agreements. Research policy or collective bargaining agreement provisions with various stakeholders when conflicts arise regarding interpretation and coordinate resolution with Manager.
  • Regularly respond to employee questions regarding pay, title, contract and related issues. Problem solve when needed, engaging with others in HR to ensure employees are properly compensated. Elevate complex situations to Team Lead or Manager as needed.
  • Conduct data analysis to support proactive planning.
  • Act as a key contributor to the annual salary increase processes for both employees represented by collective bargaining agreements and those non-represented by reviewing back-end data, determining corrections according to policy or past practice and initiating system updates.
  • Calculate and process various incentive and bonus payments according to plan documents.
  • Contribute towards effective documentation of employee pay, title and related attributes by auditing and reviewing data and initiating updates to internal systems.
  • Ensure SOX and internal audit compliance by running audit reports, and researching / correcting errors in pay, contract or title issues as they are discovered during regular audits.
  • Support global benchmarking process by participating in and analyzing industry survey data to determine competitiveness of the total compensation programs.
  • Assists in the research and development of special studies and recommendations on salary administration and other topical HR issues and initiatives.
What you'll bring:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a financial, payroll or compensation analyst role
  • A Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Strong proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint) and relational databases
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, customer service and data research skills
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to details
Bonus Skills:
  • Compensation knowledge, including state and federal Wage and Hour laws
  • Experience conducting salary analyses and explaining results to employees and management
  • Experience in a multi-cultural, unionized environment
  • Professional certification in specialty area or course work through the World at Work professional association
  • Experience with international compensation
