Job Type Full-timeDescriptionLocation: On-Site in Las Vegas, NVThe Compensation & Payroll Auditor will play a crucial role in analyzing payroll and compensation data, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of payroll processes and auditing principles. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and collaboratively to drive compliance and improve processes.Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Auditing: Conduct comprehensive audits of payroll, tax, and personnel records to ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed audit findings to management, providing actionable recommendations for compliance improvements and corrective actions.
- Data Analysis: Analyze payroll data in relation to collective bargaining agreements and employee benefit plans to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate effectively with HR, finance, and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and support compliance initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving payroll processes and compliance systems, making recommendations based on audit findings.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of audits, findings, and follow-up actions to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Field Work: Occasionally travel to client locations to perform audits and gather necessary information, enhancing our client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in a business-related field (Economics, Finance, Business Administration, etc.); bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll auditing, compensation analysis, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with payroll systems (e.g. Paylocity, Paychex, ADP).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting: Most of the day, analyzing data, reviewing documents, and using computer systems.
- Standing and Walking: Occasional standing or walking, such as to attend meetings, retrieve documents, or use office equipment.
- Lifting: Occasionally lifting light objects, such as books, files, or computer equipment.
- Keyboarding: Frequent use of a computer keyboard and mouse.
- Visual Acuity: Close vision for reviewing detailed documents and computer screens.
