The Compensation Supervisor oversees compensation projects, wage survey submissions, pay structure development, incentive plan design, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSLead a team of Compensation professionals.Participate in the creation and implementation of variable pay, promotion, and merit rating programs.Partner with internal departments, business entities, and senior management to ensure the effective implementation of compensation policies and practicesProvide oversight and guidance in administering compensation program activities: merit EIB load, merit data validation, pay plan maintenance, etc.Ensure adherence to established organization policies and make recommendations for change as appropriate.Ensure programs and policies are in compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations.Oversee wage and salary survey data collection and recommend changes based on analysis.Conduct job evaluations and salary increase reviews to ensure pay equity and competitiveness.Provide support to ensure compensation programs comply with all employment and wage and hour regulations.Ensure the accuracy and completeness of compensation records and data in Workday, such as incentive and bonus calculations, award payment approvals, and payment records.Prepare analyses to monitor compensation trends and costs; and the effectiveness of existing compensation programs and processes. Recommend plan revisions and/or new plans that are cost effective and align with business objectives.Complete various audits to address compensation related issues or regulations in conjunction with Legal and/or Compliance.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCERequired:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent1-3+ years of relevant experienceStrong project management skills working with the ability to manage large quantities of dataAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPointUnderstanding of compensation programs and principlesKnowledge of legal compliance related to compensation practices, such as wage and hour, FLSA, etc.Ability to maintain confidentiality of informationExcellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels of the organizationProven ability to explain data, deliverables and problems to non-technical audiencesStrong sense of urgencyDesired:Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Professional Human Resources (PHR)Experience with Workday HCMO'Reilly Auto Parts has a proven track record of growth and stability.
