Primary Function:
Reporting to our Director of Compliance, you'll apply your legal background/paralegal skills to be our go-to guru for researching and analyzing legal and regulatory issues. You'll provide executive summaries and recommendations, monitor federal and state laws, and keep us ahead of compliance trends and changes. Your insights will guide our director and keep our business running smoothly.

In this role, you'll:
1. Dive deep into regulatory research related to corporate issues and filings.
2. Handle product filing requirements and manage premium and claim processing requirements across different states.
3. Draft, review, and manage various contracts, including operating agreements, basic contracts, and lease agreements.
4. Assist in preparing and reviewing annual reports and other corporate governance documents.
5. Maintain a comprehensive compliance program, including related records and files, while becoming our in-house Subject Matter Expert.
6. Ensure we comply with federal and state regulations by proactively researching and compiling state guidelines, and keeping our compliance team informed.
7. File corporate reports and state-mandated documents, keeping our records in tip-top shape.
8. Coordinate internal corporate compliance training efforts, tracking progress and reporting to state departments as needed.
9. Acknowledge receipt of all complaints, gather relevant information, draft responses, and prepare quarterly and annual complaint analysis reports.
Other Duties:
Take on additional duties as assigned by the Director of Compliance. Flexibility is key!
Education/Training Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and/or Legal Assistant/Paralegal designation, or equivalent experience in an insurance-centric environment.
Insurance, Regulatory, and/or Compliance experience is a big plus.
