About the role
The Compliance Analyst supports the overall success of the compliance function and ensures regulatory compliance is maintained within the bank. Position performs internal audits, assists on external audits, provides training or information to employees and submits reports to the Senior Compliance Officer.
This position can be located in any bank branch with available space.
What you will do
* Performs internal audits to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures with a focus on the deposit side of the business.
* Identifies areas of non-compliance and makes appropriate recommendations.
* Communicate audit findings to Senior Compliance Officer.
* Maintains a strong working knowledge of Regulations.
* Provides recommendations as non-compliant items are identified and assists with updating policies and procedures by reporting issues to the head of compliance.
* Other duties as assigned.
What you will need
* 2+ years banking experience preferred, not required.
* Associates degree in related field preferred, not required.
* Knowledge of banking laws and regulations required, training provided.
* Proficient in computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Strong attention to detail, able to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
