SUMMARY:# The Compliance Auditor will work directly with the Director of Compliance to ensure that the organizations policies and procedures are reviewed and updated annually in accordance to current legislative and regulatory requirements. This position will be responsible for researching, reviewing and developing policies to comply with new laws and regulations. Responsible for overseeing compliance with federal and state patient privacy laws, including responsibility for HIPAA policy. Researches and reviews legislative, regulatory, and/or accreditation requirements that affect operations and compares them to current policies/activities. Participates in audits and internal investigation at the direction of the Director of Compliance. #The Compliance Auditor will also assist the Director of Compliance with researching OIG work plan items to ensure that the Compliance Committee is focused on the latest investigation topics. BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Dynamic Health and Healthstream Policy Manager. Required to work with the Director of Compliance and system Leaders to research, initiate and/or implement best practices in risk management, compliance, and HIPAA Privacy Standards for Baxter Health and and the Health System.# JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Associates Degree or higher and/or equivalent work experience Experience: Minimum two (2) years# experience in research/policy management Certifications: Certifications in compliance preferred. Work schedule, 5 days a week, Monday # Friday, 8-hour shifts.
