Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI. is seeking a Compliance Auditor to join our team!
The Compliance Auditor assists the Vice President and Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer by developing, coordinating and supporting the Compliance Program's Monitoring and Auditing activities of operational processes including but not limited to documentation, coding and billing processes, HIPAA Privacy and Security, and other internal processes and controls to ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
These functions may focus on one or more major elements of the Corporate Compliance Program such as Medicare and Medicaid billing, Stark, Anti-kickback, fraud and abuse, HIPAA privacy and security, managed care compliance, anti-trust, labor and employee relations, environmental health and safety matters, various trade practices, and other specific issues, which may arise. Activities may include conducting education, investigations, audits and monitoring of internal processes and controls to ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
HOURS: Full-Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly
Experience/Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or other advanced degree preferred.
* A minimum of two to five years of experience in a healthcare setting relative to the size and scope of the organization.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in Healthcare compliance preferred.
* Experience working on and leading cross-functional projects or with cross functional project teams.
* Experience working independently and responding to rapidly changing priorities
* Knowledge and experience in health information management, financial practices and information privacy laws required.
* CHC/CHPC certification within 2 years.
* Knowledge of federal and state healthcare compliance-related laws and regulations, specifically the Stark, Anti-Kickback, False Claims, HIPAA, HITECH and state privacy laws.
* In-depth knowledge of the compliance risk areas associated with the healthcare provider industry, including Documentation, Coding, Billing, and Exclusions.
* Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
