Job Summary:

A prominent private equity and venture capital firm based in Los Angeles is seeking a Compliance Consultant to manage and enhance its compliance program. This role will focus on regulatory compliance, internal controls, and risk management to ensure the firm operates in full adherence to applicable regulations, including SEC and state-level requirements. The successful candidate will bring expertise in compliance oversight, particularly in private equity, venture capital, or alternative investments, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain the firm's compliance policies and procedures in accordance with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Form ADV requirements, and other applicable regulations.
• Develop strategies to ensure compliance with SEC, state regulations, and California-specific requirements impacting private equity and venture capital firms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, law, business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in compliance roles within private equity, venture capital, or investment management firms.
• Strong working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act, SEC regulations, and Blue Sky laws.
• Experience managing compliance programs for firms with venture capital and private equity portfolios.
• Excellent understanding of venture capital deal structures, co-investments, and limited partnership agreements.
