Through oversight of key risk issues and processes such as legal and regulatory compliance, we help maximize public trust and ensure EY and our clients are operating responsibly.About the jobThis opportunity is an ideal role for an individual who wants to directly contribute to EY's US organization. The Records & Information Management (RIM) subfunction has oversight for a RIM framework that is established in line with the needs of the business to control and govern the lifecycle of records and information at the US level, supporting immediate and future regulatory, legal, risk and operational requirements. It helps the business mitigate risks and costs, demonstrate compliance, defend against claims, and improve operations and productivity.Your key responsibilitiesResponsible for supporting all aspects of the Records and Information Management (RIM) US program and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs). Focusing on risk and compliance, you will leverage knowledge and industry expertise to support the global retention schedule, adhere to compliance standards and develop processes for the governance and lifecycle management of EY's US records and information. You will lead, manage and participate on projects. You will consult and collaborate effectively with key internal and external RIM stakeholders (e.g., Services Lines, Functions, EY Technology, Legal, Data Protection, Acquisitions, members of the Region RIM Liaison network, industry vendors) to drive the design and implementation of solutions across the US business.Skills and attributes for successInterest in enhancing EY's ability to manage the lifecycle of records and informationInterest in working with a diverse team within the Americas and the globe (Global RIM) to deploy programs and share knowledgeInterest in strengthening EY leaders' capabilities and knowledge in how to manage records and information throughout their lifecycleExcellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with a proven inclusive and flexible approachEffective communicator with good written and oral presentation skillsAbility to formulate recommendations to solve RIM business issuesProven project management skills and experience of delivering projects in a matrixed organizationAbility to persuade, influence, negotiate and gain leadership buy-in for proposed change initiativesTo qualify for the role you must haveUniversity graduate; records and information lifecycle / management experienceCertified Records Manager (CRM) or Information Governance Professional (IGP) certification or willingness to obtain certification within the first 2 yearsFamiliarity with relevant external standardsUnderstanding of available learning resources, both internal and externalAdvanced MS office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and fundamental RIM technologiesExcellent technical acumen and ability to use relevant tools that support EY's records and information managementFamiliarity with key RIM regulations, legislations, industry resources and standards, both in the professional services industry and other key corporate business functions (i.e., human resources, finance); RIM lifecycle requirements and techniquesPrior experience in creating and delivering communicationsExperience leading multiple projects and virtual, multidisciplinary, cross-functional teamsAbility to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve problems by gathering data from various sources; evaluate alternatives from multiple stakeholder perspectives and understanding impact on business when addressing / resolving issuesIdeally, you'll also haveParalegal experience, particularly in litigationRisk management, legal, policy, or IT lifecycle experienceCertifications such as Information Governance Professional (IGP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Information Privacy Professional (IPP) or willingness to obtainAbility to influence others without authorityAbility to train and coach senior leaders so that their knowledge and skill sets are enhancedAbility to operate and flex in an ambiguous and changing environment to respond to emerging prioritiesExperience of working to deadlines and delivering high-quality outputsKnowledge of budgets and managing expenditures / resources in order to operate within approved budget guidelinesAbility and willingness to periodically work flexibly e.g., participating in calls outside of standard office hours (early morning/late night) to support our global organizationWillingness to travel domestically, as neededWhat we look forWe're looking for an experienced, high energy individual who embraces change and innovation in order to ensure that we can continue to deliver world-class RM initiatives in an ever-changing environment.What working at EY offersWe offer a competitive remuneration package where you'll be rewarded for your individual and team performance.
