Job Summary Covenant House New York (CHNY) seeks a Compliance Coordinator to implement strategic compliance and quality improvement plans for assigned programs. Under the supervision of the Vice President of Compliance, the Compliance Coordinator will assist CHNY programs and related departments in complying with relevant laws, regulations, and contractual and accreditation requirements. This is an opportunity for a highly organized, motivated, and collaborative individual to join the Program Compliance and Performance Measurement Department and to assist with developing new compliance and quality improvement systems, tools, and processes for the agency's varied programs. Duties & Responsibilities Develop methods and tools for internal audit and quality reviews of assigned programs, including chart/case file reviews. Prepare reports of internal audit findings with trend analysis and recommendations for corrective and preventive actions. Use data reports to improve compliance and quality of services. Work collaboratively with program leaders and staff on corrective action and improvements as needed. Create tools for program performance, including new forms, checklists, desk aids, and tracking spreadsheets. Develop and facilitate training on compliance-related topics for program staff. Provide ongoing coaching and technical assistance to assigned programs on compliance matters. Assist with preparing for and facilitating external audits by regulatory agencies, government funders, and accreditation entities. Review and manage incident reports and investigations; assist with incident tracking, analysis of trends, and dashboards. Participate in monthly Incident Review Committee meetings. Assist with tracking and compiling records for subpoenas and records requests. Assist with records management and liaise with off-site records storage company. Assist with drafting policies and procedures. Assist with ensuring compliance for continued Praesidium accreditation. Attend internal and external meetings and training related to the department's focus. Develop and maintain collegial relationships with external monitors and internal CHNY staff. Conduct special projects and tasks as assigned by the Vice President of Compliance. Always upholds CHNY's mission, vision and principles, standards of conduct, policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned and needed. This position does not supervise any other position. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Experience working in a social services or healthcare setting preferred. One year of experience in quality improvement, program evaluation, and/or non-profit administration is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience using technology and systems to communicate. High level of skill using Microsoft Office. Experience using Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) and/or eClinical Works or other electronic health records or case management records preferred. Ability to remain calm while handling high risks or crises. Discretion when working with sensitive and confidential information. Ability to relate to youth and staff, and passion for serving CHNY youth and patients. Prior experience reviewing case records/patient charts and analyzing and reporting quantitative and qualitative data preferred. Independently recognizes and performs duties that need to be done without being directly assigned. Establishes priorities; organizes work and time to meet them. Recognizes and responds to emerging priorities, accepts changes and new ideas. Has insight into problems and the ability to develop workable alternatives.
