Global ComplianceOur division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm's culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm's enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independentcontrol function and part of the firm's second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm's compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm's responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.Core ComplianceCore Compliance is a team within Global Compliance that, in part, is responsible for supporting the division's leadership including division head, chief operating office and chief of staff. We are looking for a team member who can help support the division holistically as part of the management team. We are looking for someone who is equal part visionary and executor.Responsibilities and QualificationsThis role will be focused on compliance with the firm's committee management processes. Specifically focused on reporting governance, roles and responsibilities, and tooling uplifts. At times, the role will require you to navigate, and problem solve with multiple teams and stakeholders bearing in mind timelines and a senior audience.An ideal candidate would be able to:Leverage strong communication and relationship-building skills in frequent interaction with other areas of the firm, in particular, senior stakeholdersDemonstrate resiliency and creativity when under pressure and when managing time-sensitive demands from competing stakeholdersDemonstrate very strong written and oral communication, as well as analytical abilitiesBe detail-oriented, so as to consistently produce accurate work productEffectively and efficiently conduct business with both internal and external stakeholdersWork independently and exercise strong judgment when executing an assigned taskMulti-task and have the ability to manage and advance multiple projects simultaneouslyIdentify and effectively escalate potential issues to appropriate person(s)Meet tight deadlines and comfortably operate in the face of time constraintsPersistently follow-up with colleagues to ensure that appropriate information is obtained and timely recordedQualificationsBachelor's degreeAt least 2 - 3 years of relevant post-undergraduate work experienceExcellent time management, analytical and communication skillsIntegrity, motivation, intellectual curiosity, and enthusiasmFamiliarity with financial products and marketsStrong proficiency in PowerPoint and ExcelABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
