Overview:

The Compliance Director will oversee and coordinate billing, coding, auditing, and HIPAA privacy efforts. This role involves implementing and managing a robust Compliance and HIPAA program to prevent and detect wrongdoing and recommend corrective actions.

The Compliance Director will ensure adherence to office guidelines, including written policies, procedures, and standards of conduct, while complying with all relevant Federal, State, and local laws.

Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing and auditing billing, coding, medical records, and HIPAA Privacy and Security regulations.
  • Utilizing a Risk Management process to identify, analyze, and address specific risks.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on compliance and risk management.
  • Developing, coordinating, and testing education and training programs related to compliance and HIPAA.
  • Establish and verify current contracts will all Covered Entities including Business Associates. Ascertain that MANA has written agreement in place with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications:

  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
