- Onboard new physicians, advanced practice providers and professional medical coders to provide basic coding, compliance and privacy education.
- Continuously review and update all onboarding materials to maintain compliance with guidelines/regulations.
- Attend department, clinic, and faculty meetings as necessary.

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent and graduate of a Medical Coding Program Required
- Two (2) years of Coding experience may be considered in lieu of the medical coding program in addition to the experience below.
Work Experience
- 3 years related coding/auditing experience in a health care setting Required
- 5 years coding and compliance experience in an academic medical center Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Upon Hire Required or
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Upon Hire Required or
- Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) Upon Hire Required or
- Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) Upon Hire Required or
- Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) Upon Hire Required
