An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Supervises and manages staff who are responsible for the Compliance department.
- Develops, implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
- Administers the property Title 31 and Responsible Gaming compliance programs including identifying any required updates to policies and procedures.
- Administers AML and KYC policies and ensures procedures are properly followed.
- Ensures compliance with reporting commitments required by the Corporate office and regulatory agencies, including FinCen.
- Ensures adherence with all compliance programs, including any mandatory trainings, reporting and policy revisions.
- Performs agreed upon procedures audits as required to assess effectiveness and ensure departmental compliance with all applicable internal controls, laws and government regulations.
- Works with company management and the AR Gaming/Racing Commission to ensure that significant changes to the company's operating environment (new facilities, system upgrades, gaming mix changes, etc.) are completed in accordance to AR Gaming/Racing Commission regulations.
- Maintains organized set of detailed records and files to document transactions.
- Works closely with department managers to ensure they have a thorough understanding of regulations and procedures.
- Keeps property updated with latest gaming rules and regulation requirements. Ensures property is in compliance at all times.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM.
- Responsible for ensuring Marketing Promotions adhere to approved rules.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) in Accounting, Auditing or related field from four-year college or university; two or more years' experience in compliance, audit; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Casino experience required.
- CAMS Certification is a plus.
- Must have experience in auditing and/or writing policies and procedures.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (World, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must have thorough knowledge of Casino Operations software and equipment.
- Must have excellent organization and oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job may or may not have supervisory responsibilities.
- Evaluates team members within department and deliver constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
- Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).
- Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSEmployee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
