Responsibilities include but are not limited to:BayFirst is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing Compliance team. The Compliance Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing HMDA and CRA data for accuracy and conduct periodic testing of Bank activities to ensure that BayFirst is in compliance Federal and State laws. The ideal candidate will be detailed-oriented, have a high degree of accuracy, and be able to work independently with minimum supervision.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Identifies HMDA reportable consumer, commercial, and mortgage loans, including their designated census tracts and demographics.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly testing of Bank's lending and deposit activities to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Ensures appropriate record entries are made on the HMDA loan/application register (LAR) within thirty calendar days after the end of the calendar quarter.
  • Conducts and leads data reviews and certifies the accuracy of HMDA/CRA data
  • Maintain an internal compliance audit log of all findings reported through various audits and testing.
  • Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in providing required data reports and any other requests, as necessary.
  • Verifies loan information through imaged documents or loan origination systems.
  • Maintains and develops reports within the HMDA/CRA data software.
  • Support Compliance Officer with other compliance related projects, as necessary.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong competency in Excel.
  • Knowledge of bank operations, consumer and mortgage lending operations and services is a plus
  • Experience with Encompass , Loans PQ, and Jack Henry Silverlake preferred.
  • Strict attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines required.
Qualifications
  • Location: Candidate must be local to St. Petersburg and able to come into the office 3x a week or otherwise determined by management.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of one to three (1-3) years of Bank Regulatory Compliance experience required.
  • Prior experience with TRID, RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and ECOA and other consumer compliance related regulations.
  • Experience in Mortgage banking
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where changes to procedures are common.
  • Ability to communicate in a respectful and assertive manner.
  • Ability to input and interpret data.
