We're one global team driven by our common purpose to deliver a better world. Join us. Job Description AECOM's EHS team is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Compliance Specialist. This hybrid role can be based out of several AECOM offices (including Cincinnati, Ohio; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Denver or Ft. Collins, Colorado). The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team of engineers and scientists that are responsible for a wide range of health and safety consulting services across the United States of America. We are looking for a proven professional in the industry who understands health and safety regulations and has the ability to implement a variety of support services for our clients. The role includes the opportunity to support large local, national and international clients with their health and safety compliance needs. The successful candidate will have experience and be capable of executing the following responsibilities of this position with minimal to no supervision: Conduct health and safety inspections and audits at various types of sites (manufacturing, commercial, Federal, etc.) for clients to identify potential deficiencies or hazards and determine corrective actions accordingly. Ability to understand the intent and application of a diverse set of health and safety-related state and federal regulations (OSHA), and the ability to effectively educate our clients specific to their regulatory obligations and compliance. Develop and conduct health and safety-related employee training, emergency preparedness and assure the quality of programs for clients. Develop, implement and maintain various OSHA and State required safety and health programs, systems and procedures for various clients. Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures and operating equipment for clients to minimize hazards. Provide on-site health and safety support services for various clients. Provide Federal and State level regulatory interpretation and technical advice. Conduct accident investigations and prepare accident reports required by regulatory agencies. Contribute to proposals and bringing in new work and clients as well as supporting existing projects and clients. Regular travel is required to client sites as necessary. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: B.S. degree in science, engineering, safety, or related field. 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in health and safety regulatory consulting experience. Ability to travel at least 2 weeks per month (i.e. 50% of the time) to conduct H&S audits. Valid US Driver's License and pre-employment driving record verification is required. Preferred Qualifications: 8 years of health and safety regulatory consulting experience is preferred. Experience conducting lead, mold or asbestos surveys. Professional certification ASP, CSP, or CIH, or other equivalent certification. Experience with Process Safety Management (OSHA 1910 including Subpart H, Subpart N, and Subpart O) and EPA 40 CFR 68.
