Acts as the primary contact for audits, ensuring that employee privacy is protected. Proactively monitors regulatory changes, ensuring HR practices align with evolving legal requirements. DUTIES SUMMARY The HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for preparing reports, filings, and documentation required to meet regulatory requirements. Prepare reports and filings for EEOC, DFEH, OSHA, and other compliance-related bodies, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on time. Maintain the HR department's audit readiness, serving as the primary contact for program and administrative audit requests and collaborating with the HR Shared Services Team to collect necessary records and documentation. Manage the HR compliance calendar, tracking key deliverables and deadlines to support efficient department planning and operations. Proactively monitor regulatory changes and collaborate with leadership to ensure HR documentation and practices meet new or changing legal requirements. ADDITIONAL DUTIES Manage HR-owned policies in the Employee Handbook, working with subject matter experts to review and update policies in alignment with current legal standards, and overseeing the annual attestation process. Assist in defining and refining HR compliance procedures, including continuous improvements to internal tracking tools and processes to ensure data integrity. Other duties and special projects as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 3 years of human resources experience required. 2 years of experience supporting HR-related compliance preferred. Cloud technology experience preferred. HR shared services experience preferred. Project management experience preferred High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Possesses reliable transportation to and from worksites as needed. Required to travel once a week (less than 25% of the time). Role-specific on-site work requirements, as applicable. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to handle confidential information. Maintains client and employee privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities. Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law. New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range to maintain internal inequity and allow opportunity for future salary growth. CII salaries are determined based on comprehensive internal and external market analysis, as well as the skills, education, and experience relevant to each position.
