Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred with the minimum of two years experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; or,
- Associate Degree in Human Services or related field required with the minimum of four years experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; or,
- High School Diploma with the minimum of six years experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills & ability to meet/exceed deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and detail orientated.
- Experience with auditing &/or investigation methods preferred.
- Working knowledge of OPWDD & HCBS waiver regulations, guidelines, procedures & philosophy.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Valid NYS driver's license & personal vehicle to use during work hours required.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Conduct compliance and quality assurance investigations & internal audits/reviews for quality and compliance; reviews conducted include but are not limited to: Fiscal (Personal Allowance, Petty Cash, Incidental Funds), Quality Improvement, Billing.
- Ability to make decisions & determine outcomes, as well as preparing summaries with written recommendations to the appropriate departments.
- Complete written reports timely & follow-up with program staff to ensure corrective actions completed.
- Site visits to all agency program locations to assist with survey preparedness and relationship building.
- Conducts MediSked reviews in absence of QA Clerical Staff.
- Work with various computer programs to input/collect data; create/run reports to identify trends by analyzing & interpreting; report written findings including graphs & charts.
- Provide training & support to program management & staff on regulatory standards.
- Ensure programs are in compliance with regulatory policies & procedures.
- Participate in internal & external committees as assigned; presenting/reporting findings to committee.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
