Job Description:

Wilson-McShane Corporation, a third-party administer for Taft Hartley funds, is seeking a full-time Compliance Specialist in our Bloomington, MN office.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage annual audits for Taft-Hartley Funds including coordinating schedules for onsite audits with external auditors.
  • Prepare & upload all required documentation for audits and coordinate with the other departments and offices.
  • Request Schedule A & C responses from service providers & provide to auditors timely.
  • Review audited financial statements and adjusting journal entries.
  • Manage the Funds' required mailings to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Handle year-end state and federal tax requirements for Taft-Hartley Funds.
  • Handle tax deposits for Taft-Hartley Funds as needed.
  • Handle quarterly and annual tax filings for Taft-Hartley Funds as needed.
  • Research and implement state and federal tax regulation changes and updates as needed.
  • Assist with the development of policies and procedures for the department.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

The schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday with a 1-hour lunch. This position is an exempt position with a compensation range of $58,000 - $63,000 per year and incudes benefits such as the following:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required and/or 1+ years of equivalent working experience preferred.
  • Strong Office 365 skills required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
  • Taft-Hartley experience is preferred.
  • Travel may be required up to 5%.
