Duties
As a Compliance Support Specialist, GS-1801-9, your typical work assignments may include:
* Managing the Agency's case management system of records and providing technical support and guidance to various staff members in the operational use, tracking, retrieval and electronic recordkeeping of compliance case matters.
* Creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets for the collection of compliance related information.
* Using available search and reporting services to obtain information relevant to compliance cases which includes locating discriminatees and researching motor vehicle records and the corporate status of a business.
* Attending settlement negotiations or other meetings conducted by the Compliance Officer, or Compliance Supervisor with the public or parties to cases to take notes or take the lead in meetings in appropriate situations.
* Drafting questionnaires used to survey parties involved in Board cases, such as discriminates, comparable employees and other employers' correspondents, for review by the Compliance Officer.

Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Statement
The ideal candidate has experience performing compliance processes and thorough understanding of the procedures to support case management operations. Experience would range from relatively simple to cases which involve more elements of moderate difficulty. The candidate ensures compliance with provisions of formal and informal cases, exercising judgment and demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of case management systems and records. Attention to detail is critical to the completion and review of case work. Excellent communication skill is desired.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of a Compliance Support Specialist at the GS-09 grade level.
Specialized experience includes:
* Experience gathering information through interviews and/or investigations to provide assistance in obtaining and completing compliance cases; and
* Experience independently maintaining an electronic system of records and controls to store, retrieve and update technical information for the agency, public or other parties; and
* Experience preparing draft to final correspondence relating to case management mission operations.

Time In-Grade Requirements
All current and former Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year of experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service is required to qualify for the GS-09 grade level.
