Lamination Booth- 1st Shift- Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm Carfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston,AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).POSITION SUMMARYPosition will be responsible for performing functions within the RTM, Grinding/Trimming and/or Lamination area(s). Ensures the highest quality product and meets customer specifications. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:•Follows and complies with all safety, work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards on a daily basis.•Lay and shape fiberglass mat and other materials on to molds. •Pump or spray resin/catalyst into mold. •Using a variety of air powered hand tools, trim excess, grind, drill holes on parts as directed by blueprints.•Maintain daily schedule to assure customer shipments are on time.•Other duties as assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT: •Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses, dust mask, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc.•The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with the exception of high noise areas. Proper safety equipment needs to be used while performing this job and that equipment is dictated by the plant Safety guidelines.•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to hot conditions, humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust and non-hazardous chemical agents. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. •Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
