Our client in the chemical industry is seeking a Compounder to join their team. As a Compounder, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Job Title: Compounder

Location: Van Nuys, CA

Pay Range: $24 per hour

What's the Job?

• Accurately measure and mix raw material ingredients in accordance with formula and instructions to produce batches weighing 0-800 lbs.
• Retrieve assigned formulas and review information for compounding, working on orders with earliest ship date first, record substitutions, over-pours, etc., ensuring supervisor approval is obtained.
• Add raw materials manually or from dispensing racks and/or dosing cluster by weight using scales, ensuring proper sequence of mixing.
• Heat batches and materials as needed using necessary using hot plates, etc., ensuring that the materials are not overheated, thoroughly mix batch, ensuring that batch is free of crystals.
• Keep equipment and area in proper working condition. Advise Supervisor of any equipment issues.

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or equivalency (GED) required.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial work experience required; chemical compounding experience preferred.
• Prior forklift experience.
