Position Details Title: Compounding Process Operator I Location: Syracuse, NY Shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 4 days per week (10-hour shifts). Flexibility for a 5-day schedule as required. Position Description Company is seeking a dedicated Compounding Process Operator I to join the team at its penicillin production facility. The role involves operating equipment for sterile and non-sterile compounding, handling raw materials, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include: Production Operations: Operate production equipment to manufacture sterile and non-sterile penicillin products following SOPs. Weigh and dispense raw materials accurately, ensuring proper formulation and documentation. Inspect and clean equipment as required, adhering to all protocols. Documentation and Communication: Complete production documentation, verify accuracy, and maintain training records. Communicate effectively with team members and management about production status and challenges. Safety and Maintenance: Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures, including cleaning spills and proper disposal of waste. Perform troubleshooting and address equipment malfunctions promptly. Environment Management: Clean work areas, including walls, floors, and equipment, using approved agents and techniques. Prepare materials for autoclaving, ensuring all sterilization parameters are met. Qualifications Experience: 1-3 years in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment performing similar duties. Skills: Knowledge of pharmaceutical production and compounding practices. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
