Computational Biologist, Genomics
W2 Contract
Location: Redwood City, CA - Onsite Role
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Explore and integrate multi-omic datasets that include DNA mutation, gene expression, and copy-number.
- Explore and analyze single-cell genomics data.
- Aid in the interpretation of the data, particularly generating hypotheses.
- Assist experimental design to ensure the representativity of the data generated.
- Contribute to the development of analysis pipelines and computational tools.
- Work closely with scientists, contract research organizations, and other collaborators to answer key questions related to our research.
- Communicate the results of your work to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- M.S. in bioinformatics, genomics, or a similar field.
- Familiarity with differential gene expression analysis and somatic DNA mutation calling.
- Proficient with R or Python.
- Strong communication skills.
- 3+ years of experience focusing on analyzing NGS data is highly desired.
