Performs diagnostic radiographs and images. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation as appropriate to the ages of the patients served, based on the area of clinical practice. May be assigned off-site.Mount St. Mary's Hospital consists of multiple locations and associate may be assigned as neededResponsibilities:EDUCATION + Graduate of an Approved School of Radiologic Technology+ Current Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists - Radiological Technologist Registry (ARRT) (R). Must maintain this primary registration at all times to be eligible for certification and registration.+ Paygrade 10D - until full trained in CT and has fulfilled training qualifications as determined by the Director+ Current NYS License in Radiologic Technology required. + The newly hired candidate must successfully complete assigned Basics of CT education 3 to 6 months post hireCREDENTIALS+ New York State License as a General Radiologic Technologist and current New York State Department of Health certificate of registration as a Radiologic Technologist. Within 18 months Post-Hire: Associate must obtain Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists - Computed Tomography Registry (ARRT) (CT) for all associates hired after 8/1/2024 o The following workflow is highly recommended for the CT technologist to be successful in passing the ARRT CT examination within the 18 month timeframe:+ As soon as technologists begins working independently, they should start documenting their cases in preparation to take the ARRT exam. + 6-12 months post hire, the technologist should study for the ARRT exam. It is highly recommended that the technologist complete the additional modules which CH provided to study for the ARRT examination. During this timeframe, the CT technologist should work closely and consult with the Lead, Supervisor or Manager to receive guidance on preparing for the ARRT examination. Periodic meetings with the technologist will be scheduled monthly with the Supervisor or Manager to review their progress of testing criteria to sit for certification. + The technologist should attempt the ARRT exam the first time around the 12 month post hire timeframe. This will allow the technologist plenty of time to attempt the ARRT exam a minimum of 3 attempts if needed. + If the technologist has made an attempt to follow the timeline above or there are extenuating circumstances which may have caused the technologist to be unsuccessful achieving CT accreditation, extensions maybe granted on a case-by-case basis.+ Certified to inject with NYSDOH within 90 days+ BLS required within 90 daysEXPERIENCE+ One (1) to two (2) years CT Scan experience preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY + Answers Telephone+ Compile Statistics+ Computer+ Maintain Filing System+ Schedule Appointments+ Diagnostic Equipment+ Fax+ Personal Computer REQNUMBER: 32542
