We seek a highly skilled and experienced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Designer to report directly to the Director of Technology. This role will support Engineering and Manufacturing teams with electrical and mechanical designs, documentation, and graphics, utilizing AutoCAD, SolidWorks, 3D, and Illustrator, while developing and maintaining accurate documentation files to the latest specifications.
Due to ITAR and/or CUI compliance; this position requires candidates to be U.S. Citizens, Permanent Resident Aliens, or Protected Individuals per 8 U.S.C. 1324 b(a)(3).
Key Responsibilities for This Role:
2D design/layout of mechanical and electrical drawings used in control panels. 3D drawings for plastic housings, machined bezels, and molded rubber. Designing and creating graphic layouts per customer specifications. Select and/or specify materials and components with engineering. Maintain accurate and current documentation packages. Work within a structured environment. Proven high-level performance in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, 3D, IllustratorKey Metrics & Competencies:
Ability to visually and analytically take an idea, seeing through layers and putting dimensions to it while understanding tolerance and exercising detail.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
Quoting of new product design.

Required Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent training and experience.Minimum of 2 yrs. working with AutoCAD & SolidWorks or similar programs, and having experience or knowledge of fabrications, machining, molding, graphics, and assembly processes.
Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
Electrical and PCB Design experience 2-4 yrs working in AutoCAD & SolidWorks, 3D and IllustratorBuilding & testing prototypes experience.Skills & Abilities:
Highly proficient in AutoCAD & SolidWorksKnowledge in Adobe Illustrator. Excellent communication (written & verbal) skills active listening skills visual attitude understanding of tolerance.
