About the role:
As the Cad Engineer, you will be responsible for producing timely and accurate shop drawings. These will be reviewed and approved first by the client and then the next step will be shop production. You will report to the Project Manager.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Project Overview
Review blueprints in coordination with the contract item.
Record which areas will require extra attention to detail during the field measurement.
Schedule drawings to be completed.
Field Measurements
Perform detailed and accurate measurements of areas to be built with all utilities identified and marked.
Finish Schedule
Create a list of all materials and hardware needed and also identify nonstandard and special-order materials.
Shop Drawings
Complete shop drawings in a timely and accurate manner and produce all necessary views for the items.
Submit all necessary notes and drawings to the project manager for approval of all necessary materials and colors.
Perform any necessary revisions to drawings promptly.

Experience in architectural mill work and custom cabinetry
Several years of hands-on drafting experience
High proficiency in AutoCAD; WoodCadCam software experience preferred.
Strong mathematical and visualization skills
Knowledge of woodworking/construction techniques and experience with 3D software is a plus.
