TITLE: Computer Network Architect LOCATION: Lexington Park, MD CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active DoD Top Secret Clearance EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, On-site POSITION SUMMARY Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking an experienced Computer Network Architect to join our team at the Intermediate Level. As a Computer Network Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. You will also perform network emulation/virtualization, analysis, and planning, and design network and computer security measures. Additionally, you may be required to research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software. RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
- Work closely with other engineers, program managers, and technical staff to ensure project success.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network designs, security measures, and test plans.
- Participate in reviews and evaluations of technical products, processes, and systems.
- Maintain a high level of technical proficiency and stay current with industry trends and developments.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Digital Forensics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network architecture and design.
- Proficient in network emulation/virtualization, analysis, and planning.
- Familiarity with network and computer security measures and protocols.
- Experience researching and recommending network and data communications hardware and software.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Commercial cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+).
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills; Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively, both individually and leading a project team.
