Job Description
A rapidly expanding worldwide Manufacturing company is looking for a 2nd shift CNC Milling Set up/Operator for permanent placement in Arvada, CO. The Machinist will play a crucial role in the fabrication of custom metal parts, including complex covers, casing, and caps for use in industrial fluid transfer, like Oil and Gas. Main responsibilities include setting up and operating a Mori Seki Horizontal mill. Materials will mainly be stainless/hardened steel but sometimes include exotic metals like titanium, inconel, and hastelloy. They will also be a valuable part of the prove out process and work with Manufacturing Engineers to improve procedures. They will inspect products using micrometers, dial indicators, surface plate, profilometers, and optical comparators. Candidates will need to be able to work independently and have the ability to learn and apply new information. The position has room for advancement within the company. Machines utilized may include: Mori Seiki horizontal mill connected to a Fastems 40 pallet system Manual mills and Lathes (DeVlieg Mill, Pratt mill, Sharpes mill and Knuth lathes KAPP Niles gear grinder, Kellenberger 100 center grinds, Tshudin DMC 65 monoblock, HAAS VF5, DMG Mori Lathe dynamic 5 axis machinist The position has room for advancement within the company.
