The work is performed under general supervision of a Senior Computer Programmer or other senior-level staff members.Assists in the development and writing of computer programs using SQL or ProC.Codes, tests, and documents ad-hoc reports using the WebFOCUS computer language.Uses population selection and letter generation procedures to generate letters and reports or as input to other procedures.Uses SQL*Loader to insert records into Oracle databases.Works with a DBA and other team members to ensure successful installation of new product releases.Troubleshoots administrative software problems and contacts vendors as needed to resolve issues.Works with Operations to automate/schedule processes.Prepares documentation for use by other team members and users.Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.MCC Expectations:Adheres to the College Code of Conduct.Contributes to, supports, and maintains an equitable, inclusive, and collaborative College environment.Maintains technological competencies utilized by the College.Commits to the philosophy of a comprehensive community college.Commits to professional growth. which includes seeking ongoing training in diversity, equity and inclusion to better serve students.Job Requirements:Required Qualifications:Must currently hold the Monroe County Civil Service title of Computer Programmer OR be listed on the current eligible list for this title OR meet the following minimum requirements to be eligible to take the Civil Service exam for this title when given and be reachable:Minimum Qualifications:(A). Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, plus three years of full-time or its part-time equivalent in computer data processing activities, at least two of which shall have been in computer programming; OR(B). Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's degree in a computer science field, plus two years of full-time or its part-time equivalent paid experience in computer data processing activities, one year of which shall have been in computer programming; OR(C). Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a computer science field, plus one year of full-time or its part-time equivalent paid experience in computer programming; OR(D). Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree, plus two years of full-time or its part-time equivalent paid experience in computer programming; OR(E).
