Position Overview: As a Computer Science Intern, you will work closely with our Data Solutions Engineer, Marketing, and Production teams to develop new ways to track and analyze data through dashboards and other tools. Your role will be crucial in sorting through production data to identify trends, aiding the Continuous Improvement team in optimizing processes to better meet our clients' needs. How Does the Reader Precision Solutions Intern Program Work? In your first month, you'll participate in a scheduled rotation on the production floor to understand our operational processes. This hands-on experience will give you valuable insights as you brainstorm a project idea. The remainder of your internship will focus on bringing your idea to life, collaborating with different teams, and presenting your project to the team. A Glimpse into Our Computer Science Internship:
- Collaborate with the Data Solutions Engineer to create dashboards and tracking tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team by providing data insights that inform better decision-making.
- Work alongside the Marketing and Production teams to integrate data solutions into daily operations.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate data collection and analysis.
- Present findings and suggest strategies for optimizing production processes and meeting client requirements.
- Participate in brainstorming and project development, applying your computer science knowledge to real-world challenges.
- Gain hands-on experience with software development, data visualization, and business analytics.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, User Experience or a related field.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) and dashboard platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
