This is an exempt salaried position

Hours: 8:30-5:00 M-F

Annual salary is $66,000 - $73,000 annually DOE

Job Summary:

* The Computer Specialist I role is part of the IT team that supports ETS' mission by ensuring that all ETS staff have the essential IT tools and access needed to perform their job functions.

* This role makes a critical difference at ETS by ensuring that all IT resources and services are available whenever, wherever needed in a manner that protects ETS against cyber threats.

What you contribute to this role - Responsibilities:

* Help ETS succeed in carrying out our mission through working together with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity to create different approaches to improving community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness.

* Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community to overcome the aspects of our society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism.

* Serve as the general contact for all IT service requests via phone or electronically.

* Resolve issues independently escalated by other IT staff.

* Carry out software upgrades and system design changes as assigned.

* Setup and administer new Active Directory, email, and application accounts with proper permissions.

* Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of IT systems.

* Work with third party support vendors such as Comcast, Lumen, Softchoice, and Pacific Office Automation to resolve related support tickets and minimize downtime.

* Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of the status of their requests.

* Ensure availability of client computers and application uptime in accordance with IT policies.

* Complete special projects as assigned by the agency or supervisor.

* Coordinate with the Help Desk team to provide technical support to all clinics during all times of operations, episodes of staff sickness or staff vacation in conjunction with the IT Manager. Note scheduled PTO in the IT Calendar.

* Train new, current, and employees on hardware/software assets plus how to enter support tickets.

* Provide quality service, act with integrity by responding in a timely manner, and letting staff know truthfully if you know how to fix the problem, or, if you don't communicate immediately you will research the issue further and get back to them as soon as possible.

* Closely monitor the Help Desk ticket queue on a daily basis for incoming IT tickets, either completing yourself or escalating upwards for advanced technical assistance. Keep tickets to a minimum. Close out all completed tickets to keep the queue clean.

* Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, phone systems, cell phones, software, and hardware. Respond to queries either in person, over the phone, or remotely via MS TEAMS.

* Document IT procedures, systems, methods in the IT Team section of OneDrive.

* Document and schedule regular maintenance on dispensary pumps and controllers at clinics.

* Maintain an inventory of ready-to-use common IT items such as monitors, monitor stands, webcams, wireless keyboard/mouse combinations, Wi-Fi adapters, cables at clinics.

* Include signature pads, label printers, dispensary pumps and controllers. Inform supervisor whenever supplies are needed.

* Keep IT rooms tidy. Periodically recycle old IT assets and document scrapped items on IT OneDrive.

* Set up printers using MS Universal Print. Maintain Address Book on Multifunction Printers when staffing changes are made.

* Maintain scan to SAMMS network folder settings at clinics.

* Provide assistance with video conferencing systems for group meetings as needed.

* Participate in the development and implementation of goals, work plans, performance measures, and continuous improvement of service delivery to assist in attaining the program, department, and/or organization's initiatives, goals and strategies, and mission through a spirit of service, teamwork, and respect.

* Attend all required training and safety meetings; report all injuries and illnesses to supervisor immediately; complete and submit incident/accident reports as required; and follow all safety and health guidelines, practices, policies, and procedures and actively support and participate in the Emergency Preparedness Program and tasks.

* Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, ETS policies and procedures, including ETS Privacy, Security and Compliance policies and procedures, and the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA).

* Actively participate in Quality Improvement programs and activities; initiate Quality projects and/or process improvement to attain quality service delivery.

Requirements

What you bring to this role - Qualifications:

Credential (License, Certification, Provider One, etc.)

* Microsoft Azure certification preferred.

Education and/or Relevant and Lived Experience (if applicable):

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or equivalent work experience preferred.

* More than five years of hands-on experience supporting users in an enterprise environment.

* Project management experience helpful.

Knowledge and Skills:

* An understanding of racial justice and social equity and a commitment to helping create an equitable environment for all ETS clients and patients as well as fellow staff.

* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, patients, and staff from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.

* Working knowledge of DELL computer hardware, MS Win 10/11 operating systems, and procedures. Working knowledge of common user computer software (MS Office Suite and O365).

* Working knowledge of MS Azure Entra ID, WIN Server 2022, MS Intune, SharePoint 365, Office 365, MS Teams, Service Desk Plus help desk software, Remote Application, Remote Desktop and eFax administration.

* High integrity, ethical standards, ability to understand HIPAA regulations and on- time attendance.

* Able to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and access issues with local and remote workers.

* Experience with imaging and diagnosing Windows Operating Systems.

* Strong interpersonal skills and verbal/ written communication skills.

* Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and complete tasks timely and efficiently.

* Dependable, able to work under pressure, receptive to change, willingness to learn, cooperative approach to problem solving.

* Flexible team player, with excellent attention to detail.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling highly sensitive information.

* Ability to set boundaries, resolve conflict and de-escalate issues.

* Possess a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological change.

Additional Essential Information:

Physical Conditions and Requirements:

* The employee may be exposed to illicit drug residues and fumes or other bio-hazardous materials when carrying out job functions. There is also potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens. ETS will provide employees with appropriate training to limit the risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Policies and procedures are in place addressing each item specifically.

* The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, and kneel; occasionally to climb balance, or stoop; rarely to crouch or crawl.

* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, color, and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Equipment Used:

* Computer, multifunction copier/scanner/printer, cell phone, webcams, docking stations, network equipment: wireless access points, switches, routers, cable modems, and Wi-Fi adapters.

* Signature pads, dosing pumps and attached controllers, and thermal label printers at clinics.

* Security systems including cameras and card key entry systems.

* May need to use company vehicle on occasion. Valid Washington Driver's License preferred.
