JOB DEFINITION: Manages and provides service to devices for HQ, JMC. Services of thesedevices can be for employees located CONUS/OCONUS. Establishes and ensures thatappropriate security controls over software and hardware are maintained at all times. Analyzessoftware and hardware requirements. Patches devices in accordance with IAVAs and reports oncompliancy.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Accurately records daily tasks and assignments in order toprovide metrics on task orders. Coordinates the updates of cell service hardware and softwareapplications. Develops procedures and training material. Provides assistance in the design,development and maintenance of various system application. Troubleshoots and resolvescomplex IT-related problems.Works independently under overall project objectives and requirements; apprises ProjectManager about progress and unusual complications. Work is reviewed for accuracy of judgment,compliance with instructions, and to insure proper alignment. Guidelines usually include existingsystems and the constraints imposed by related systems with which the incumbent's work mustbe meshed. Adapts design approaches successfully used in precedent systems. Completed workis reviewed for timeliness, compatibility with other work, and effectiveness in meetingrequirements. May provide functional direction to lower level assistants on assigned work.Performs other duties as assigned or required.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, InformationTechnology or equivalent AND five (5) years of progressively complex information technologyand/or computer support experience; OR equivalent combination of education, training andexperience. Should possess certifications in related areas and have clear goals of additionalcertifications needed to support emerging technologies. Recommended two (2) years experiencein IT related field.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Required to work outside the traditional work schedule.This includes after hour support. Security+ is preferred but not required. An Interim SecretClearance is required prior to confirmed full time employment. MSCE and CompTIA Network+are also preferred.
