In this role you will be directly colalborating with the project management staff on unique commercial projects. My client is a mid-sized general contractor that works on unique commercial and industrial projects. • Design/Build GC
• Vast majority of work is negotiated with repeat clients
• Industrial and commercial builds make up the bulk of their portfolio (both renovations and ground-up)
• Self-perform concrete and carpentry (sub out other trades)

Description

• Evaluate project plans and documents to determine accurate cost estimates.
• Develop detailed and competitive bids for construction projects.
• Solicit and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify risks and include contingencies in estimates.
• Monitor project budgets and adjust forecasts as needed.
• Maintain records of cost-related data and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.

Profile

• 4+ years of construction experience
• Conceptual estimating experience
• Design/Build experience
• Degree in a construction related field, or relevant work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
