Overview The Concession Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Concessions Manager in the overall effective management and running of concessions operations. The Concession Supervisor oversees the food preparation and production, inventory, cash control procedures, total compliance with alcohol service policies, cleaning, safety, guest service, employee/volunteer supervision, and closing duties. The Concession Supervisor will provide limited oversight of employee performance issues and direct any issues to the Concessions Manager, Human Resources, and/or the General Manager. This role's focus will be on lending support to the location's Stand Leads and NFP (Not for Profit) leads to ensure that all aspects of concessions operations within their assigned sector are fully operational. The majority of the Concession Supervisor's time will be spent actively mentoring, training, and helping employees and volunteers to meet company quality standards, and in promoting a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment. This is a key position for the effective operation of our business; the employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. The Concession Supervisor is assigned to a specific geographical sector of the venue when more than one Supervisor is on shift. In order to monitor all assigned locations, extensive and continuous walking and standing are required. The Concession Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. A critical aspect of this position is the Supervisor's ability to instill a positive and enthusiastic quality to the work environment, consistent with the prevailing atmosphere of the sports and entertainment industry. - Must demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.

- Responsible for ensuring the set-up of all concession locations within assigned sector has been completed prior to doors. Set up duties include (but aren't limited to): verifying opening inventory; signing in employees/volunteers/temps and assigning duties to concession workers (employee/temp/volunteer); ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met; verifying that locations are clean and all equipment is operational, and that dispensing equipment has been tested; ascertain levels of food production based upon projected guest attendance has been met; and ensuring that the Stand Leads have followed proper procedure for employee/volunteer/temps POS login and handling of cash.
- Monitor alcohol service throughout events to ensure 100% compliance with the venue's alcohol service policy, RAMP, and PLCB regulations. Report any alcohol service or compliance issues to management immediately. Responsible for relaying designated alcohol service cut-off times to assigned locations and enforcing the deadline.
- Responsible for ensuring effective operation of location during events: monitor inventory/product levels; anticipate extra stock/product; oversee employee breaks, sign-in/out sheets, and employee meals; uniform distribution, collection, and laundering; uniform compliance, health-code enforcement (handwashing, gloves, hair nets, hats), ensures designated number of POS are open.
- Responsible for ensuring Stand Leads have verified and track all product, including transfers, discards/spoilage, and that these are accurately reflected in the closing procedures. Ensures that the Stand Lead maintains proper product levels while minimizing overproduction/waste.
- Ensure event staff and volunteers are aware of workplace expectations; provide on-going assistance and mentoring to event staff and volunteers; promote a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative workplace environment by working side-by-side with staff and volunteers; reinforce procedures and practices through repetition; lead by example, and provide on-going constructive feedback.
- Report disciplinary issues, accidents, incidents, illnesses or serious performance issues to the Concession Manager, HR, or the General Manager immediately. The Concession Supervisor is responsible for supporting staff and volunteers through mentoring and training; any disciplinary or on-going performance issues should be deferred to the Concession Manager, HR, or General Manager.
- Oversee closing of concessions locations; ensure location, equipment, and utensils are clean, product is properly stored or returned to the Commissary, perishables are refrigerated, and that all equipment/electronics/lights are turned off; ensure the stand lead has properly followed stand closing cash procedures; ensure cash bags have been returned to the Lead Cashiers/Cashroom Manager; ensure that employees/volunteers/temps remain on site as necessary until cash verification is complete
- Responsible for providing limited direct supervision to concessions employees/volunteers/temps. Must be able and willing to cover the function of any open position to assure location is fully operational and company standards of quality & speed of service and guest satisfaction are met; hands-on supervision includes the ability and willingness to assist with cleaning and restocking, if required.
- Responsible for documenting in writing any problems with concession equipment or needed repairs for assigned locations at the end of the event.
- Participate in NFP orientations, new hire orientations, and training sessions as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be 18 or over.
- At least 1-2 years' experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced food and beverage environment or applicable education/experience.
- Ability to lead the work of others.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a cash register and corresponding system.
- Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers and guests with a focus on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
- Possess valid food handling certificate and RAMP certification if required by state and federal regulations (or be willing to obtain one within a 60 day time-frame from date of hire).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, some holidays and long hours.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
