Christian Academy School SystemConcessions CoordinatorScopeThe Concession Coordinator is the point person for organizing and coordinating food service and volunteer efforts for athletic events on the Kentucky campus. Athletic concessions offer a unique avenue for outreach to the community by providing outstanding hospitality to guests who attend events at the multiple sports venues on campus. This is a part-time 10 month position. QualificationsThe candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:
- A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
- A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
- Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith for Christian Academy School System
- Agreement and belief that the Bible is the final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind
The ideal candidate shall possess:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating orders with athletic department and placing those orders with approved vendors
- Ability to organize inventory and set price points appropriate for products sold
- Willingness to work with team parents to schedule and train volunteer workers
- Responsible for opening and closing the concession stand(s) each night
- Ensure concession stands are stocked, cleaned and products are rotated for freshness
- Maintain health department guidelines for food preparation

- Operate within established annual budget
- Create a welcoming environment to visitors and CAL families
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to traverse various athletic grounds and facilities
- Prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds at a time
Reporting RelationshipThe Concession Coordinator is responsible to the Director of Athletics. A detailed job description will be provided during the interview process.
