Full Job DescriptionMidwest Roofing & Concrete LLC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Concrete Foreman to lead our concrete projects in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. As a Concrete Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of concrete work, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Our mission is to treat each customer as part of the Midwest family, offering solutions that are both trustworthy and reliable.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead and manage concrete crews in the construction of foundations, walls, slabs, sidewalks, driveways, stairs, stamped, grain bin pads, and other concrete structures.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities on job sites, including project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications to ensure accurate execution of concrete work.
  • Ensure proper use of materials, tools, scaffolds, and equipment for concrete forming, pouring, and finishing.
  • Monitor job site safety and ensure compliance with all company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that work meets or exceeds company standards and client expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
  • Train and mentor crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Troubleshoot on-site challenges and find efficient solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure that all tools, equipment, and materials are accounted for and properly maintained.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of concrete, ordering, forming, pouring, and finishing techniques. Ability to read blueprints and plans.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and lead a team while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well with clients, team members, and management. Bi-lingual in spanish is a plus!
  • Safety: Commitment to safety protocols and experience with OSHA regulations.
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license required; additional certifications in construction safety or concrete work preferred.
